Self-Portrait Challenge- Street: Post No Bills

I don't have much to say about this week's post. I have been thinking about the difference between inspiration and theft when it comes to ideas and art. I think we can all agree that all artist "borrow" ideas and inspiration from one another, but when is it healthy evolution and interpretation, and when is it blatant copying. After seeing this Modest Mouse video, I thought I would see where the idea of using flyers would go, if I gave it a shot. I know the idea may appear to be very similar, but I wasn't trying to copy the video; I simply wanted to show my take on it. I couldn't decided on one photo, so please tell me which you prefer. I suppose if I had to pick one as my contribution this week, I would pick this one:

But here are a few more...

I think the next one says a lot about impermanence and the idea of the end of every person's fifteen minutes of fame, or the end of all our lives, or the end of (?). Everything will someday become garbage, including you and me! I think this photo illustrates that point...

In closing let me say that I couldn't have finished this photo shoot without my trusty assistant, my daughter Kaia. We were out and about at 7 am on Sunday morning to get daddy's work done!

These are all great! I find the rubbish one sad and poignant, but my favourite is the one with your gorgeous daughter holding your picture.

ps, I don't know whether I said so last week but I loved that one of you in all the greenery. It's so nice to get a sense of your tropical environment.
