started a novel about dysfunctional young love
-couldn’t put it down-
it felt all too familiar, what with the destruction caused
and the fumbling through insecurity and self-absorption.
it’s a miracle anyone survives the carnage of adolescent adoration.
difficult to asses the damage caused and the damage taken:
just wanting to be wanted,
doing our best to avoid the voluptuous panic
that comes from being ignored, unattractive, unloved.
for all the education that’s on the table
no one teaches anyone how to love each other
without some form of mutilation.
