hero (part one: hard to explain)

I can't believe it has taken me this long to finally post to YouTube, but I have finished my first short film. The description reads:

The first in a series of short films depicting the growth of Doha, Qatar as seen from an Indian made bicycle The Hero. I hope to capture a variety of moods and textures in this series. While I hope that these films will simply be enjoyed as moving photographs, I hope they make some sort of subtle commentary on the labor involved in building a 21st city out of sand.

I look forward to continuing with the series. There are many places for you to comment, so please let me know what you think.

    Hey Jabiz,

I love it! Very creative! I watched it on youtube and left a short comment there. It is a mazing what slave labor can do for a country! I had visions of the heat and the hutments and all those men pouring their souls into the buildings. Can't wait to see where this goes....

  3. Whoa. Thanks a lot, Jabiz. That's just the sort of thing I've always wanted to do but have never come close to starting. Very nice.

Nicely done. All of the houses there seem to have huge concrete walls around them. And so much construction is going on there. I really like the shots of you - you look like you're having a good time. It was enjoyable to watch and left me thinking...

    Happy Holidays friend,

    LC

Hi Jabiz, I discovered your beautiful little video while doing some research for my cycling blog on the Tour of Qatar. Haunting and charming. I just did a post on it. Hope you like it. Twisted Spoke at http://walshworld.wordpress.com/
